Programs and Curriculum

We offer programs for children ages 3-5 and tuition-free UPK for those in their Pre-K year. Our small class size affords every child extra help and attention from the teacher and more of a family feel.

Preschool is such a beautiful stage of childhood where children are becoming more aware of themselves and the world around them. We try to capitalize on this natural curiosity with ample time spent outdoor in nature and in play. Learning should be fun, so our state-aligned, play-based curriculum incorporates a lot of activities that educate as well as entertain!

Though we are a nature-inspired program with Union Meadows Open Space as our backyard, our Pre-K program also equips children with the skills they will need in Kindergarten. These include academic, social, and physical goals such as:

  • Recognize letters and some of their sounds
  • Recognize and write first name
  • Recognize some common words
  • Recognize numbers 1-10 and understand the values
  • Can print some letters and numbers
  • Recognize basic shapes and colors
  • Use words like “please” and “thank-you”
  • Ask for help
