We believe that that every child is created with an unimaginable amount of potential. Within each small acorn lies the possibility of a thousand oak trees. Our mission at Mighty Oaks is to lead young children into learning using their innate sense of wonder by offering time in nature, play, and community. We believe that all families in our community should have the opportunity to choose an early childhood education setting where their children will have the opportunity to grow strong, develop friendships, thrive in creativity, and have a lifelong love of learning. Our hope at Mighty Oaks is to partner with families and see that potential grow and take shape in each student.
Mighty Oaks Preschool was established in 2020 by Brooke Grangard as a licensed, in-home preschool and has grown to a small preschool center. Brooke now serves as the director of Mighty Oaks. Brooke grew up in Colorado, primarily Durango, CO. She has a background in education and received her degree in Bilingual Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 2003.
Shortly after graduating university, she moved overseas to East Asia where she lived and worked with a Christian non-profit organization for ten years, met her husband, and eventually started a family which now includes a 14-year-old son, a 12-year-old daughter, and a friendly rescue hound. When she’s not teaching preschool, Brooke enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, reading, eating pizza, watching movies, and spending time with her family.
*Please note- although we share a facility with Beth-El Church, we are not a faith-based program and welcome families of all religious and non-religious backgrounds.
