Mighty Oaks Preschool was created with the belief that every child is created with an unimaginable amount of potential. Within each small acorn lies the possibility of a thousand oak trees. Our hope at Mighty Oaks is to partner with families and see that potential grow and take shape in each student.
Brooke Grangard is the founder and lead teacher at Mighty Oaks Preschool.
Brooke grew up in Colorado, primarily Durango. She received her degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 2003 and was licensed to teach in Colorado. Shortly after graduating university, she moved overseas to Central Asia where she lived and worked with a Christian non-profit organization for ten years.
She and her husband have two children: a son who is now 12 years old and a daughter who is 10. Both children attended preschool and loved it though they were very different in their learning styles!
Brooke is now a licensed in-home preschool provider in the state of Colorado. She is CPR and First-Aid certified as well as FEMA trained. Her home and property have been inspected and approved as safe for preschool. Mighty Oaks Preschool is in compliance with the Colorado Child Care Regulations. Brooke works to keep abreast of current information on early childhood education and is active in continuing her education.
When Brooke is not teaching little ones, you can find her hanging out with her family. She enjoys hiking, camping, watching movies, reading and starting new projects!
